  2. Well, the likely hood that people will stop flying is slim to none...but I mean like damn... Im getting my threads and everything together now for my trip next month, but Im trying to keep everything down to one suitcase and a carryon... But its gonna be a bitch when we get down there and start shopping...just may be shipping that stuff back...

    highway robbery Indeed...

  5. Rob, I agree with Amtrak, but I'm from Montana and there is no service to my folks neck of the woods so I'm stuck flying (it's a 4 hour drive each way to the closest Amtrak station).

  7. You know this is so wrong because what if you have formal clothes or in my case..my husband packs his suits. You mean to tell me I have to pay extra...I don't like sharing bags with my husband..I like my own bag for my own goodies..That is crazy.. Well, I guess they have to pay their fuels too..but dang!

  9. Oh, you are NOT kidding!!! 5 years ago, the cost of a ticket back home regular fare was $550, usually on sale around $300. NOW regular fare is about $800 with all the taxes and on sale $500!!! It's crazy!

  12. Ouch!!!!!

You know when I moved to the ATL I flew. I paid UNDER $200 for my roundtrip ticket. I know that same ticket will cost me close if not over $300.

  15. I just saw a Southwest commercial about this topic. I'm sure they are looking to sway passengers.
