  15. So glad my company isn't on the list....

    *yet*

One of the good things about being off retail is that when the big stores go down in sales, we go up. As they are liquidating their inventory, meaning, inventory that has already been bought or is still at their distribution center, we get to buy. That will be the BEST time to go shopping at a TJ Maxx or Marshals.

  28. When the country is in such a sad state of affairs, it is only natural that the bigger companies are going to tighten their belts.

It is the smaller businesses in the smaller towns that tells the tale of how truly economically screwed we are. These are families like yours and mine...it's their whole lively hood....now that is sad!

Freightliner just closed yesterday I think..moving their business to Mexico. They can get the labor a whole hell of a lot cheaper, where is the loyalty in that?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The economy is so bad right now.

  30. I knew about many of these at the beginning of the summer. my boss gets those alerts when stuff like this comes out. it's a damn shame that so many folks will be out of work. something has got to change in this country or folks are gonna start surviving by any means necessary...
