Did anyone else catch this, this weekend? It was an excellent look into the lives of Attalla Shabazz, Sherrie Poitier, Tiffany Cochran, Rasheeda Ali and Berniece King.
Don Lemon presented the viewers a chance to see the men who in some way, have influenced the black community as Daddy and not as the heroes we tend to see them as.

I watched it last night, ironically enough, by my Dad's bedside at the hospital. It was very moving and I was happy to be able to see it with my Dad.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I truly believe Dad will be ok. He's having yet another recurrence of cellulitis in his legs (he's diabetic) and after he gets discharged this time, I'm going to have him see a specialist.

ReplyDeleteIt was awesome...I enjoyed it.. I was glad to hear that MLK Jr and his wife had a daughter...That was great.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me the importance of fathers in their daughters lives.. I thank God for my daddy. He's not perfect but he has taught me sooo much and I'm grateful.
